The PROVE Solar Laboratory follows the same quality management system as the PROVE Plumbing Laboratory.

The quality management system follows the ISO 17025 general requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratory’s requirements and the quality manual and has been audited by NATA.

All tests and test equipment are calibrated in accordance with the guidelines shown in ISO 17025, the applicable Australian Standards and the NATA guidelines.

At PROVE our belief is not to meet the Australian Standard requirements, but to exceed these minimum requirements, as such our facilities can achieve the following requirements:

Environmental conditions

Variable temperature control from +5°C to +60°C and variable temperature control form -30° to 250°C for limited specialised tests.

Temperature testing

Temperature measurement from -30°C to 300°C to an accuracy of 0.05°C.

Flow Rate

Mass flow rate measurement from 1.5kg/min to 10kg/min to an accuracy of ±0.5% or better.

Mass Measurement

Measurements from 0.001grams to 200kg

Solar Simulator

Irradiance fully variable from 100W/m² to 1500W/m² and uniform to better than ±15%

Light measurement

Irradiance to better than 50W/m²

Airflow

Airflow recorded to better than ±2%
